CANTON — The Tuscola Mountaineers defeated the Pisgah Bears by a score of 9-4 on Wednesday in a game that was not short on fireworks.

The Mountaineers sprinted out to a 5-0 lead in the first and the Bears were forced to make a pitching change from Jaxon Reid to Mason Griffith before the inning was over.
