Crossfire Ministries is conducting its 30th Annual Basketball Camps for boys and girls ages 8 to 18 years on a limited scale during the COVID-19 situation. The camps will be COVID-19 compliant and social distanced according to the N.C. COVID-19 camp rules.

The first week, which begins next Monday, July 20-23 is at capacity, but applications are being accepted for weeks two and three that will follow on July 26-29 and Aug. 3-6.

The camps are held in Hendersonville and Mars Hill.

The camp started as just a dream and prayer request 30 years ago when Randy Shepherd finished playing basketball on a scholarship at UNC Asheville.

There have been over 22,000 youth from Western North Carolina attend in 29 years. Crossfire Ministries teaches basketball and Christian principles to the youth of WNC.

The program is limited to 46 campers each session because of COVID-19 regulations. Normally, there are 500-650 campers per summer overall in sessions. There is a scholarship program for any financial need requests from single parent families or special situations. This money is raised from local businesses, churches and individuals.

Crossfire Ministries has spoken in 68 countries and 46 states in churches, schools, colleges, universities, prisons, camps, etc.
