A limited number of season passes for outdoor recreation access at Lake Logan have gone on sale.
Lake Logan Conference Center located at the base of the Shining Rock Wilderness is typically off-limits to the general public for recreation, except for those who become members by purchasing a season pass.
Season passes holders are able to swim, picnic, hike and boat at Lake Logan, for $120 for an individual or $200 for a family. Those who want to bring their own boat to Lake Logan — as opposed to renting a canoe or kayak — can get a boat registration sticker for an additional $35 per boat. Gas motors are not allowed, but canoes, kayaks, sailboats, johnboats and stand-up paddle boards are. There are only a limited number of boat stickers available for the season.
There are also a limited number of passes also allow fishing in the lake, for a cost of $210 for individuals or $315 for families. Season passes that offer river fishing are already sold out.
Even those with season passes must still make reservations for the day they want to recreate on Lake Logan. Season pass holders simply login to an online portal and select the day they plan to come. Weekend reservations must be made by 3 p.m. Friday.
Season passes for 2022 can be purchased online at www.lakelogan.org/visit/2022-season-membership.
