WAYNESVILLE — Thomas ‘Tommy’ Glenn Moore, 57, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Jan. 4, 2021, at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

Tommy was born in Haywood County on Feb. 12, 1963, to Hall Moore and the late Eva Howell Moore. Tommy was a loving son, husband and father who was a Preacher of the Word.

He was also a very talented musician who could play almost any instrument he picked up. Tommy was employed by Evergreen Packaging in Waynesville. He also served honorably in the U.S. Air Force and the Army National Guard.

In addition to his father, Tommy is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Earlene Mercer Moore; a son, Dalton Jeremiah Moore; and a brother, Bill Moore.

A memorial service celebrating Tommy’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 7, in the chapel of Garrett Funerals and Cremations with the Revs. Neal Roland and Frank Wyatt officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Due to COVID-19 face masks and other restrictions will be observed.
