CLYDE — Rose Rathbone, 53, of Clyde, passed away at Mission Hospital-Memorial Campus on Jan. 2, 2022.
Born, Aug. 6, 1968, in Tupelo, Mississippi, Rose was the daughter of John Edd Hooper and Imogene Odom Hooper. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and aunt, Joyce Hooper.
Rose was a medical assistant for many years. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, camping, fishing, and going to the lake. Above all, she loved her family and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Left to cherish Rose’s memory are her loving husband of eight years, Richard Rathbone; her two most precious blessings, her children, Amber and Luke; stepson, Steven; her parents; brothers, John (Angel) Hooper and Cecil (Melanie) Hooper; father and mother-in-law, James and Willa Mae Rathbone; brother-in-law, Jason Rathbone; sisters-in-law, Bobbie Jean (Kenny) Haney and Renee (Steven) Earley; along with numerous extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 9, 2022, at Smoky Mountain Chapel with Pastor Phillip Wyatt officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1-2 p.m. Burial will follow services at Riverside Cemetery.
