CANTON — We give thanks for the blessed life of Nancy Carol Landers Trull, who filled our lives with joy, love and happiness for 59 wonderful years. Nancy entered into a glorious place of eternal peace and rest on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019, and we shall hold her memory close forever.
Nancy was born Sept. 25, 1959, in Las Vegas, Nevada, to the late James “Buck” Landers Jr. and the late Louise Shipman Landers.
“Buffy,” as she was affectionately called by her sisters, was surrounded growing up by a loving family and a multitude of adoring friends. It seems that Nancy could always accomplish anything that she set her mind to do.
In her early years, she enjoyed playing basketball and she indeed loved all sports. Her delightful personality was an asset and brought close friendships anywhere Nancy went.
She had been employed as an insurance agent with Liberty Life Insurance Company, worked at Skylanes Bowling Center in Asheville and Nancy’s most proud achievement was being a mother and a homemaker. She loved her family with all her heart and soul and nothing made her more proud than her children and grandchildren.
When remembering Nancy, we think of her fun personality and how she enjoyed making everyone laugh! She loved doing cross stitch, canning fresh vegetables and cooking for her family.
Nancy held a great love for all children and devoted many years of being active with the Canton Youth League as a cheerleading coach. She was a member of Canton First Baptist Church, where she attended as a young girl and later she attended Oak Grove Baptist Church and Long Branch Baptist in Canton.
Our hearts are broken as we say goodbye to our beloved Nancy but we shall forever remember her beautiful smile, the mischievous wink in her eye and the immeasurable love and concern she held for everyone in her life. We love you always, Nancy!
Surviving are her children, Maggie Griffith of Canton and Jenny Moody of Asheville; her grandchildren, Luke Griffith, Dani Moody and Haley Moody; her beloved sisters, Linda Edwards (Owen) of Alexander, Janice Case ( Phillip) of Leicester, Judy Cunningham (Tony) of Murfreesboro, TN and Pam Brown (Daniel) of Clyde; two nieces, three nephews and many friends.
A gathering of family and friends to celebrate and honor Nancy’s life will be held from 6 until 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, at Crawford/Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service followed by a service of remembrance to begin at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials may be made in Nancy’s memory to Kindred at Home, 9 Olde Eastwood Blvd. Asheville, NC 28803.
Crawford/Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service is honored to be caring for the Trull family, and words of comfort may be shared at www.CrawfordRay.com.
