CLYDE — Mildred Hill Moore, 81, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 5, 2021, at Mission Hospital. Mildred was born in Haywood County on Sept. 26, 1939, to the late Johnnie and Laura Haney Hill. She enjoyed cooking, glass crafts and crocheting. Most of all Mildred loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mildred had a strong faith in her Lord.
In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her infant children, Keith and Pamela; and two brothers, Thomas and Jason Hill.
Mildred is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert David Moore; son John Robert Moore (Karen); brother, JE Hill (Pat); grandchildren, Stephanie Moore Long (Josh) and Brandon Moore; and great-grandchildren, Bailey Long and Ashton Moore.
A Memorial Service celebrating Mildred’s life will be held in the chapel of Garrett Funerals and Cremations in the coming weeks. The Rev. Billy Ferguson will officiate. Inurnment will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. Please check the funeral home’s website for updates.
