Margaret Rauch Kahley, 82, went to be with her Lord on Friday, Jan. 1, 2021, at an Augusta, Georgia, hospital due to complications from COVID-19.

Margaret was a native of Pennsylvania, but lived many years in Haywood County, and recent years is Tignall, Georgia. She was the daughter of Walter and Helen Rauch, who preceded her in death.

Margaret was a faithful member of Fishing Creek Baptist Church in Tignall, where she joyfully sang and played her guitar. She was a wonderful homemaker, enjoying hunting, gardening, quilting, reading and cooking mouth-watering meals.

Margaret is survived by her loving husband of almost 66 years (Jan. 10), James. H. Kahley, and five children: Jim Kahley (Margaret Tulia), Bonnie Whitman (Mike), Roger Kahley, Karen Sue Kahley (Charles Chambers) and Tammy Mease (David): numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren to cherish her memory.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, no celebration of life services are planned at this time.
