WAYNESVILLE — Lewis Van Green affectionately known as Vegas Van, 79, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021, at his residence. ‘
Van was born on Sept. 17, 1941, in Haywood County to the late Lewis Nathaniel Green “Sug” and the late Mariam Allen Green. Van worked his entire life in Waynesville, owning numerous businesses.
Van is survived by his son Brandon Green (Nicole); granddaughter, Madysun Green; and grandson, Jack Green. Van is also survived by his brothers, Jeff and Ronnie Green and sister, Debbie Green along with several nieces and nephews.
At Van’s request no services are planned.
