CLYDE — Jackie Rosanne Willis, 56, peacefully entered into her glorious heavenly home on Sunday, June 9, 2019.
Jackie was born March 22, 1963, in Haywood County to the late Jack Willis and the late Violet Potter Willis Ballard. As a beautiful child and a young girl growing up, she was surrounded by multitudes of friends. Everywhere Jackie was, she brought great joy, laughter, and happiness to those around her.
She was extremely talented and could accomplish anything that she put her mind to do. Jackie had been employed as a foreman with Carolina Metals in Asheville and had also enjoyed working at Boyd’s Christmas Tree Farm in Waynesville.
She was known to have a “green thumb” when it came to raising any type of plant or flower and her time of employment with Sloan’s Plant Farm in the Bethel community was pure enjoyment for her.
Jackie was blessed with a strong physical strength as well as being a lady of great courage. She received a Black Belt in Taekwondo and had served as an instructor with Fred Riley’s Academy of Martial Arts in Canton.
In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling and spending special time with her grandchildren whom she adored with all her heart. She will also be remembered for her great love and concern for all animals.
Jackie was a member of Long’s United Methodist Church on Coffee Branch Road in Canton. We cherish our memories of Jackie and know that wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories to remember.
She is survived by her son, Thomas Soesbee of Canton; her grandchildren, Lukas and Logan Soesbee; her sisters, Karen Willis Thomas of Clyde; Donna Willis of Clyde and Debra Willis and Clarence of Colorado; nieces, Kayla, Crystal and Melissa and many friends that loved her dearly.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 14, in the chapel of Crawford/Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Pastor Erin Rubel will be officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will be in Longs Community Cemetery.
