CANTON — Bobby “Bob” Dale Littrell, 77, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020, at his residence.
Bob was a native of Buncombe County but had resided in Haywood County for most of his life and was a son of the late Willie Charlie and Della Johnson Littrell.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Farmer Littrell, who died in 2018; a son, Marion Todd Littrell; one sister, Pat Self; and two brothers, Willie, Jr. and Charles Littrell. Bob was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and retired from BASF in 2002 with 42 years of service.
He was a retired minister and former pastor of Pisgah Free Will Baptist Church. Bob was an avid goat farmer and loved growing flowers and giving them away, hunting and camping. He had a huge giving heart and loved helping others but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family whom he adored with all of his heart.
He is survived by two sons, Tony Littrell (Paula) and Terry Littrell, all of Canton; two grandchildren, Bradley Littrell (Erin) and Brittany Wines (Stuart); four great-grandchildren, Maddox and Marleigh Littrell, Natalie and Lucas Wines; and three sisters, Peggy Wyatt (Grover), Ann Moore and Sue Gilespe (Jack); a brother-in-law, Howard Self; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services was at 3 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 4, 2021, at Bethel Baptist Church with the Revs. Dr. Roy Kilby and Howard Self officiating. Burial followed at New Cruso Cemetery. The family received friends from 2:30 until 3 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
