CLYDE — Barbara Sue Bright, age 76, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, June 21, 2019, and entered into her eternal glorious Heavenly home.
Barbara was born April 12, 1943, in Haywood County to the late Dewey Burnette and the late Femmie Payne Burnette and had made her home in Haywood County all of her life. She was a devoted homemaker and she also enjoyed traveling and making wonderful memories. Barbara was formerly employed with Dayco Southern, Maggie Valley Resort and Ingles of Canton. Her strong faith was an important part of her life and she was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Barbara’s great love for her family was immeasurable and her memory will be cherished by each of them forever.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ray Burnette and Charles Burnette and a sister, Elizabeth Gasperson.
Surviving are her husband of 57-and-a-half years, Phil Bright of Clyde; her sons, Lynn Bright of Clyde and Darren “J.D.” Bright and his wife, Charlene Miller Bright of Clyde; a granddaughter, Ashley; great-grandchildren, Elijah, Silas and Coleman; a sister, Margaret Thomas of Canton and a brother, Fain Burnette of Tignall, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service was held on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens in Clyde.
