A Canton woman was arrested last week after allegedly spitting on and kicking a police officer in the groin.
Misty Nicole Wright, 34, was arrested on Aug. 8, after allegedly “emitting saliva” in the direction of an officer who was “assisting medical personnel in restraining the defendant while she was in custody of the officer.” In addition, Wright allegedly kicked that same officer in the groin.
Following the incident, she was charged with assault on a government official or employee and malicious conduct by a prisoner.
Wright has faced a whole host of charges in the past, including larcenies, fleeing to allude arrest with a motor vehicle, assault and battery, communicating threats, breaking and entering, trespassing DWIs and drug charges.
She currently has pending charges from four separate arrests over the last few months that include larceny of a motor vehicle, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, breaking and entering a motor vehicle and assault with a deadly weapon.
Wright was issued a $10,000 bond.
