Haywood County Public Health received notice that another Haywood County resident has tested positive for the novel coronavirus, COVID-19.
This brings the number of cases recorded in Haywood County as of 5 p.m. on June 30, 2020, to 91. The individual is currently in isolation at home.
The individual resides in Haywood County and traveled to South Carolina for recreation.
Currently, 69 cases of COVID-19 in Haywood County are categorized as recovered. The other 22 remain in isolation.
Forty-six people are in quarantine because they have been identified as close contacts of known cases during contact tracing efforts.
Public health officials have also been notified of an out-of-state visitor who tested positive while visiting. This case will not be part of the Haywood case count.
