On Thursday, March 4, at 10:42 a.m. Haywood County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a call about potential larceny at a private residence. The victim reported that two bicycles valued at around $150.00 were missing.

Later that day, the deputies encountered Ms. Kristyn Rapp and Mr. Nathan Long riding bicycles that matched the previously provided description. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the bicycles in Ms. Rapp and Mr. Long's possession were stolen. A search of their belongings produced methamphetamine, burglary tools, three forged checks, one stolen checkbook, five checks stolen from a local church, four stolen stimulus checks and two stolen checks payable to a local business all totaling $6,523.19.

Ms. Kristyn Rapp was charged with:

 Misdemeanor Larceny

 Two Counts Misdemeanor Possession of Stolen Goods

 Felony Possession of Methamphetamine

 Four Counts Felony Possession of Stolen Goods

 Felony Forgery of Instrument

 Felony Possession of Counterfeit Instrument

 Failure to Appear

And was placed in the Haywood County Detention Center after being given a secured bond of $105,000.00.

Mr. Nathan Long was charged with:

 Misdemeanor Larceny

 Misdemeanor Possession of Stolen Goods

 Felony Possession of Methamphetamine

 Felony Possession of Stolen Goods

 Felony Possession of Burglary Tools

 Felony Forgery of Instrument

 Felony Possession of Counterfeit Instrument

And was placed in the Haywood County Detention Center after being given a secured bond of $15,000.00.
