As an attorney in every county in the district, I have seen thousands of cases from start to finish. I have practiced in domestic relations court, juvenile abuse and neglect court, civil court, juvenile and criminal court, and various other court proceedings.

3. What are the top issues you would like to tackle?

Domestic violence, child abuse and neglect. I see a rapidly growing area trying to digest many new forms of challenges while also working through old issues and growing pains caused by loss of jobs and the “frontier” nature of the region.

I want everyone that comes before me to know that they were heard and I did not do anything but give complete attention to their matter with great regard for them, their family and the conditions they are facing.

My election will keep a western seat out west. Otherwise, we will have five of six district court judges from solely Haywood County. I will not see this position as “a job.” There is no way to answer this question inside your word limit.
