Second-grade students in Sherry Justice’s class at Clyde Elementary School found out what it feels like to become a published author.Â
Each student chose an animal, conducted research, illustrated and summarized their findings for a class book published by Studentreasures.
To celebrate, the students invited their parents, grandparents and administrators to enjoy the first reading of their class book during a publishing party.
Publishing a book enabled the students to learn more about teamwork, the writing process, and how good it feels to be rewarded for giving their best effort, according to information from the school.
