1. Why are you seeking this position?
I want to serve the far Western Counties of NC and make sure we receive the services and resources we need. I am the seventh generation from Western NC and I want to proudly serve this region is North Carolina.
2. What makes you most qualified to serve?
With two terms already served in the house of representatives I have the skill set to hit the ground running in the North Carolina Senate.
The learning curve in the General Assembly is quite steep and I have already accomplished that task. We have been blessed to have Senator Jim Davis there representing us for the past 10 years and I bring a wealth of experience to hopefully try and fill the shoes that are being vacated by Jim.
3. What are the top issues you would like to tackle?
Without question education funding and broadband connectivity. Condition I will continue to work on the opioid and such abuse crisis that we have. I cosponsored to STOP ACT which began to address the drug problems we have in western North Carolina.
4. I simply work hard every day for far western North Carolina. It is my home. That’s been home for my family for almost 200 years. I believe in western North Carolina and will continue to parade our leaders through our district to let them know where we live.
