Haywood Community College’s Small Business Center is joining with Southwestern and Tri-County Small Business Centers to present the 2020 Agribusiness Summit Online. This free summit will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 7.
Featuring new, relevant and exciting topics for current and prospective agribusinesses, the new format will allow attendees to access the content from the comfort of their own workspace while expanding the reach to agribusiness across the region.
“In the wake of the current pandemic, a virtual summit is the perfect opportunity to get up-to-date content, resources and information into the hands of our current and prospective agribusiness owners,” said HCC SBC Director Katy Gould. “Of greater importance is the simple fact that the new format provides summit access to agribusinesses throughout WNC regardless of location, eliminating the barrier of travel expense and time.”
Current and prospective agribusinesses are encouraged to take this opportunity to engage with fellow agribusinesses, entrepreneurs and resource providers. The summit is also a great time to learn new skills, up-to-date industry information from resource providers and speakers, and the power of collaboration along the way. Sessions include:
- Marketing Your Food Business in a Post-COVID World
- Forest Farming: Farm Business Diversification
- Taking Your Business Online: How to Succeed with Online Sales & Delivery
- Opportunities for Local Meats
How to Start Selling Your Ag Products on Shopify
EmPOWERing Your Online Marketing Presence
- How to Start a New Agribusiness
Medicinal Herbs: Farm Business Diversification
- In addition, there will be two Resource Provider Sessions: Meet Your Local Extension Agent and Meet Your Lenders.
