In honor of the Love the Locals campaign during the month of February, Laurel Ridge Country Club has invited locals to experience club life.
“We desire to serve our local community by providing an environment for families and friends to enjoy each other and make lasting memories here in our town,” said Sarah James Speier, VP of operations at Laurel Ridge Country Club. “We have a beautiful family-friendly club that offers unmatched dining, concerts/entertainment, golf, kids camps, swimming and tennis (in season) — and it’s convenient.”
Speier said that Laurel Ridge may be the best kept secret of Waynesville, working in the background to impact Haywood County, by supporting clubs such as Kiwanis, Rotary, Altrusa, The Chamber of Commerce, the Sheriff's Department, and Haywood County Schools Foundation, to name a few.
“This month, the secret is out,” Speier said. “Laurel Ridge is opening its doors to the public this month only to give you a taste of what it would be like to be a member.”
Here are Love the Locals specials at Laurel Ridge:
• Golf in February for $35; this includes a cart. Play the challenging and fun mountain course at a rare and exclusive price point and ask about Laurel Ridge golf memberships that start at $135/month.
• Every Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., bring the crew to discover the Sunday Spread. Brunch includes a full breakfast buffet and a made-to-order omelet station, as well as lunch favorites and local specialties from the Laurel Ridge chefs. The buffet is all you can eat, and a cash bar is available.
• Fat Tuesday and open house Tuesday, Feb. 25. The club will be open to the public for lunch this day only, so join in from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Also, plan to attend the evening Meet the Staff cocktail hour (5 – 6 p.m.) to learn more about membership. Finally, enjoy a New Orleans-style family buffet from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. Call to make reservations at 8828-452-0545, ext. 140.
• Membership Special: Join Laurel Ridge for half off the initiation fee, or 60 percent off, if you have a member refer you in February.
“We have been here for Haywood County for more than 33 years and are excited about the next 33 years,” Speier said. “We have so much to offer, and want to showcase the Club to our locals in a big way this month. Please come see us.”
