A Waynesville man has been arrested on charges of indecent exposure for the second time in as many months.
Fredy Israel Lopez, who also goes by aliases such as Freddy Kaiser Lopez and Kaiser Israel Lopez, 26, was arrested on Sept. 14, and charged with the misdemeanor.
According to court documents, Lopez exposed his genitals at the Lake Junaluska Assembly ground chapel parking lot in the presence of at least one person.
Scanner traffic that morning indicated that numerous people were in the area, including some minors. In addition, a post was shared over 400 times on social media that accused Lopez of “touching” himself and even includes an image that appears to be Lopez without pants or a shirt on, hanging halfway out of a parked vehicle.
Lopez was also charged with indecent exposure and possessing drug paraphernalia by the Haywood County Sheriff’s Office on Aug. 5.
Lopez has been charged in the past with assault and battery, injury to personal property, resisting a public officer, violating a domestic violence protective order, trespassing, assault on a female, driving while intoxicated, drug charges, first-degree kidnapping, felonious restraint and assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
Lopez was issued a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 23.
