The Shelton House — History, Heritage and Crafts needs volunteers for the new season.
Volunteer positions would consist of being a docent, gift shop attendee, landscaper, data entry person, handyman and more.
Each volunteer position would last four hours at least once a week from March 4 to December 2020.
Volunteers can expect to learn more about the history, heritage and crafts of Western Carolina while making some new friends. Also, volunteering can an opportunity to get involved and make a difference to the history and heritage of Haywood County.
There is an application form that can be filled out online asking about availability, skills and interests.
There are also community events where volunteers can help as well. Some of those events include the Blue Ridge Heritage Festival, the Shelton House Halloween, and the Shelton House Tinsel Trail and Appalachian Christmas.
The Shelton House is also looking to expand its working board of directors.
