A new dog grooming and self-wash dog salon opened in Waynesville — Soo Dog Gone Cute Grooming & Self Wash.
The grooming salon, owned by Brittany Reader, offers full-service grooming for small and medium dogs, in addition to two DIY Self wash stations for dogs of all sizes (under 100 pounds).
For the self-wash stations, the salon provides the professional raised dog tub along with shampoos, towels, ear cleaner, brushes, a table and a variable speed dryer for small or large dogs.
There is a small retail section with different specialty shampoos/conditioners, brushes, oral care, ear care and some novelty dog items for purchase.
Reader’s partner, James May, works the front end of the office.
The couple came from Jupiter, Florida, where Reader owned a mobile grooming salon. They originally moved to Franklin, where she opened a small grooming salon and has relocated to Waynesville.
“Just bring your pooch,” said Reader. “We look forward to being a part of the community in this “pet-friendly” town.”
Soo Dog Gone Cute Grooming & Self Wash is at 737 South Haywood St. (a block from Bogart’s). The salon is open 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday-Saturday for the self-wash and grooming is by appointment.
