More than 100 women are expected at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church’s annual women’s conference set for Aug. 23 and 24.
Janice Drum will once again be the guest speaker, and this year’s theme is “Peace in Conflict.”
Drum has been leading the conference for the past seven years, said Amy Warren, the church secretary at Bethel Baptist.
“She is such a dynamic speaker, and we all enjoy her so much,” Warren said of Drum, who shares what she has learned through Bible study over the past year and relates that both to the conference theme, as well as her personal life. “We can hardly wait to hear what she has to say this year.”
The conference kicks off from 6-9 p.m. Friday night, and will continue from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 24. Meals will be served at 6 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. and noon Saturday.
Registration is $20 for those 18 and older, and $12 for those under age 18. Reservations are requested by Aug. 18. All are invited.
