VFW Rider's Group of Post 5202

The VFW Rider’s Group of Post 5202 in Waynesville is hosting its second annual Motorcycle Charity Ride Scavenger Hunt on Saturday, Sept. 25.

The theme for the ride is “Walking in the footsteps of a pirate.” All are encouraged to don their pirate best for a unique fundraiser that goes to a good cause.

Registration will begin at 10 a.m. at the VFW at 216 Miller St. in Waynesville.

Kick stands will go up at 11:30 a.m.

Each person will have a copy of the route and instructions on what items to look for. Everyone will meet back at the VFW at 3 p.m. to celebrate.

Donations are $20 for double rides, $15 for single and $8 for a non-rider. (A non-rider is considered someone who may just want to eat and participate in the door prizes.)

Those without a motorcycle are encouraged to participate by car.

Car Riders will be $10 per person or if four people ride in a car the donation will be $35.

There will be an after party following the ride that will offer food, door prizes, 50/50 drawing, cash prizes, music and plenty of laughs.

The winner of the scavenger hunt will be announced during the after party.

All proceeds support veterans, their families and our community. So come on out and enjoy a fun filled day and never leave Haywood County.
