Haywood Christian Academy is holding an open house from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, at the school’s pre-k through 12th grade campus located at 77 Sutton Loop in Waynesville.

The event will begin with a brief presentation from Head of School Kelli Herbert. A parent testimonial session will start at 6 p.m. in the auditorium.

Following the presentation, parents and community members will be able to join grade-specific discussion groups, take self-guided tours of the school facility and the classrooms, meet all grade level teachers, including Early Learning Center staff, as well as learn about two scholarship opportunities.

These include the N.C. Opportunity Scholarship and HCA’s Kingdom Partners Scholarship. In addition to answering any questions, staff will also be offering onsite signups and assistance for the NC Opportunity Scholarship.

Guests will also have the opportunity to learn of the school’s various program offerings such as Biblical worldview teaching, middle school and high school athletics, the fine arts program, the dual enrollment program, student services and internship program, the Early Learning Center, The Bridge Learning Center and the parent advisory committee.

Open enrollment to the public officially begins on Feb. 10.

Cookies and punch will be served in the café throughout the evening.

Those with advance questions may call 627-0229, extension 2.
