PLAYTIME—Have some fun in the sun with the Waynesville Parks and Recreation department through their Base Camp On The Go program, available in multiple parks throughout the remainder of the summer.

The new traveling recreation program called “Base Camp on the Go” from the Waynesville Parks and Recreation Department is in full swing. Look for the Base Camp On The Go truck coming to a park around the county.

The program is free to everyone and will include activities such as log rolling, Zorb balls and more.

Base Camp on the Go will be at the following locations, days, and times:

• Waynesville Recreation Center on Mondays from 5:30-8:30 p.m.

• Canton Town Park on Tuesdays from noon-2 p.m.

• Fines Creek on Wednesdays from noon-2 p.m.

• Waynesville Recreation Center on Fridays from 10 a.m.-noon.

The program will last throughout the summer until school starts back. Base Camp on the Go is partnered with the Haywood Health Care Foundation and Haywood Recreation and Parks.
