Enjoy reading this summer

SERIES OFFERS INSIGHTS — During the Friends of the Library summer reading series: “Reading Women’s Lives: Conversations from Fiction,” local scholars from UNCA will facilitate discussions of featured books at the Waynesville branch of the Haywood County Public Library.

At Haywood County Libraries, summer reading for adults means getting great book suggestions and fun prizes.

This year, celebrate the theme “The Power of Story.” Haywood County Public Library’s Adult Summer Reading Program runs Monday, June 3 through Friday, Aug. 30.

A kick-off event is being held from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. Monday, June 3, at the Waynesville library and noon to 4 p.m. at the Canton library.

Sign up in person during this time at either library and get a bakery cookie in addition to a reusable tote bag. Or, sign up later at any library branch.

The registration packet will include six activity cards to be returned for a chance at winning some prizes.

All Summer Reading Programs are sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
