The Shelton House kicks off the holidays with Appalachian Christmas

The Shelton House will conclude its 40th anniversary year in a magical way.

Finishing out the year, The Shelton House will be hosting its Appalachian Christmas event and opening of the Shelton House Tinsel Trail on Sunday, Dec. 6 from 5-7 p.m.

Santa Claus will visit on Dec. 6 from from a safe distance and hot chocolate and treats can be enjoyed.

The “Carolina Silverbells” will play Holiday tunes from the front porch of the house so attendees can gather on the front lawn and sing along.

Following the event, the Shelton House Tinsel Trail will be open nightly through Jan. 2. The Tinsel Trail is a a month-long opportunity to safely get outside and enjoy the Holiday Lights and Decorations.

The Shelton House is located at 49 Shelton St. in Waynesville.

There’s still time to sign up for the Tinsel Trail. The deadline is Tuesday, Nov. 24.
