The 30th Annual Cruso Quilt Show is right around the corner — Friday, Aug. 23 - Saturday, Aug. 24, at the Cruso Community Center. Show hours are 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday. Admission to the show is free.
New for the 30th Anniversary is an all new hanging system and layout to the Exhibit Area. Organizers are looking forward to a great show this year and invite everyone to be a part of it.
The show features hundreds of quilts on display, with many for sale, as well.
This year’s Donation Quilt “Pigeon River Star” is a beauty with batik fabrics and custom quilting. Tickets are available 6 for $5 or $1 each.
The event will have a Basket Drawing and Quilter's Boutique, filled with beautiful quilted items made by its members.
The Cruso Challenge for 2019 is “Pigeon River Blues” and the participants purchased a pack of fabrics from J-Creek Fabrics to create their designs. The quilts will be displayed together and a viewer’s choice winner will be determined from among them.
The show features vendors J-Creek Fabrics and Lisa’s Quilting Shed and Sew New Again, Sherry Verse.
Hit the Pit Barbecue and Wildflour Blue Bakery will be outside serving up food and treats.
There will be Antique Bed Turnings during the course of the show.
Attendees will want a 30th Annual Quilt Show T-Shirt this year, as well.
