Four Seasons will hold the inaugural Haywood County Tree of Lights candlelight memorial service at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at the Haywood County Historic Courthouse, in Waynesville. The memorial service provides the community with an opportunity to recognize, honor and remember loved ones lost.

It’s no secret, the holiday season can be difficult while grieving.

“Often people who are grieving feel invisible at times of the year when everyone appears to be happy,” said Dan Yearick, MS, LPC-S of Four Seasons grief services. “The Four Seasons Grief Services team wants to acknowledge the pain that people typically experience during this time because someone they love has died and provide necessary resources, avenues for communication and support. We desire to provide an experience for those who attend to know and feel that we acknowledge their pain.”

After the Dec. 14 program, attendees are invited to stroll along Waynesville’s Main Street to enjoy A Night Before Christmas and the Bethlehem Marketplace.
