The Haywood County Board of Commissioners is seeking applicants to fill the following positions on the Haywood County Health and Human Services Agency Board of Directors:
- A psychologist member, to begin serving March 16, 2021. Requirements for the position are that the candidate must be a physician licensed to practice psychology in the State of North Carolina, and must reside in Haywood County. Qualified professionals are encouraged to apply. The candidate will be filling a four-year term that expires March 16, 2025. At that time, first-term candidates will be eligible to reapply for a second four-year term, if interested.
- An optometrist member, to begin serving March 16, 2021. Requi
- rements for the position are that the candidate must be an optometrist licensed to practice in the State of North Carolina, and must reside in Haywood County. Qualified professionals are encouraged to apply. The candidate will be filling a four-year term that expires March 16, 2025. At that time, first-term candidates will be eligible to reapply for a second four-year term, if interested.
- A dentist member, to begin serving April 20, 2021. Requirements for the position are that the candidate must be a dentist licensed to practice in the State of North Carolina, and must reside in Haywood County. Qualified professionals are encouraged to apply. The candidate will be filling a four-year term that expires April 20, 2025. At that time, first-term candidates will be eligible to reapply for a second four-year term, if interested.
The deadline for applications is 5 p.m., Friday, Jan. 22, 2021.
Application forms may be downloaded from the “How Do I” section of the county website, www.haywoodcountync.gov; or picked up from the County Manager’s Office, Haywood County Courthouse, Third Floor, 215 N. Main St., Waynesville, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Completed applications may be returned to the County Manager’s Office or attached to an email to tracy.wells@haywoodcountync.gov.
