Kiwanis help Central students shine on stage

The children rushed around, looking for help adjusting a costume or rehearsing lines at the last minute. 

As winter draws closer, the need for heating assistance continues to grow.
To help those in need, a campaign was started last year to raise money to assist people with winter heating costs. That campaign — Share the Warmth — successfully raised more than $35,000 last year. That was in addition to $565,000 Mountain Projects spent for weatherization last year.

More than 300 family, friends and admirers gathered at Resthaven Memorial Gardens outside Dandridge, Tenn. this past Saturday afternoon to pay their last respects to Maggie Valley moo­nshiner and folk hero – Marvin “Popcorn” Sutton.
