
Stephens wed Oct. 28
Angela Christel Langdon of Clayton, N.C. and Petty Officer Jeremy Stephens of Jacksonville, Fla., formerly of Concord, were married on the afternoon of Oct. 28, 2006, at Morning Star United Methodist Church in Canton. The Rev. Douglas Love officiated at the double ring ceremony.
Parents of the bride are William R. and Catherine Langdon of Clayton, N.C. Parents of the groom are David and Betsy Stephens of Concord.
Grandparents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. William Thompson of Canton, and Mr. and Mrs. Steve Stephens of Lake Wells, Fla.
The bride were a formal gown by Cassa Blanca. The gown was ivory matte organza. The maid-of-honor was Taylor Jordan Langdon of Morehead City, niece of the bride. The bridesmaid was Tanya Langdon of Morehead City, sister-in-law of the bride.
The best man was Gray Hoover of Concord, and the groomsman was David Stephens of Concord, father of the groom.
Leah Stephens of Concord, niece of the groom, was the flower girl, and JAcob Body of Concord, nephew of the groom, was the ring bearer.
Ushers were Brad Langdon of Morehead City, brother of the bride; Robert Kaufman of Snow Hill, N.C., uncle of the bride; and William Thompson of Cullowhee, uncle of the groom. The music was provided by Linda Walker of Arden.
A reception followed the ceremony at The Lambuth Inn at Lake Junaluska.
The couple honeymooned at Grove Park Inn in Asheville.
The bride is a graduate of and N.C. State University. She is employed with Hampton Child Care and Development in Hampton, Va. The groom is also a graduate of N.C. State University. He is employed with the United States Navy.
The couple will reside in Chesapeake, Va. where the groom is stationed.
