McLean, Cannon to wed

Mr. and Mrs. David Gibson Sr. of St. Marys, Ga., and Dr. and Mrs. Terry McLean of Scottsdale, Ariz., announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Mallet McLean to William Edward Cannon III, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Cannon Jr., of Waynesville.

A wedding is planned for May 19 on St. Simons Island.

The bride-elect is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a master’s degree in public relations. She is employed by the William Mills Agency in Atlanta.

He is a graduate of Wofford College with a bachelor’s degree in sociology. He is currently attending the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University.
