Greens wed Nov. 10
Evelyn Smith Gaddis and Carl Rufus Green were united in marriage on Nov. 10, 2006 at 6 p.m. at Belmont Baptist Church.
The bride’s parents are Ed and Lillian Smith of Waynesville.
The groom’s parents are Riley and Wilsie Green of Waynesville.
The maid-of-honor was Kimberly Burnett, daughter of the bride. Donald Green, brother of the groom, was the best man. The groomsmen were Bryan Gentry, Gene Hill, and Rick Smith, brother of the bride.
The flower girls were Kimberly and Amy Williams, and Kaitlyn Worley, granddaughters of the groom. Clay Burnett, grandson of the bride, was the ring bearer and Dylan Price, grandson of the groom, was the Bible carrier. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Tim Pounds. The music was provided by Rick Mashburn and Chris Smith.
The reception was held at the Crabtree Fire Department.
The bride wore an ivory dress with lace overlay, and the maid-of-honor wore an olive green suit.
Special guests attending the ceremony were Lorraine Thomas from Atlanta, friend of the bride, and Rick Smith from Virginia, brother of the bride.
The bride is a graduate of Tuscola High School and is employed by Ingles. The groom is a graduate of Tuscola High School as well and is employed by ASPLUNDH Tree Company.
The couple honeymooned in Gatlinburg, Tenn. and will reside in Waynesville.
