Cogdills wed Nov. 3
Laurel May Pacquiao and Brian Matthew Cogdill were united in marriage Nov. 3, 2006 at The Conservatory at the Madison Hotel in Morristown, N.J.
Parents of the bride are Mr. And Mrs. Catalino Pacquiao of Edison, N.J.
Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Cogdill of Waynesville. The grandparents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lamons of Balsam and Miami, and Mrs. Betty Cogdill of Waynesville.
The candlelight wedding ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Darlene Kline.
The matron-of-honor was Elke Dela Cruz Griggs. Brady Augustine was the best man.
In Filipino tradition, sponsors are special people to the bride and groom. They stand as witnesses as the bride and groom exchange their vows. The sponsors were Robert and Betty Lamons and Edlin and Victoria Torralba. Readers for the ceremony were Amy Spivey, sister of the groom; David Pacquiao, brother of the bride; and Bobby Cogdill, father of the groom.
The music was provided by Grace Lee, violin; Elaine Christy, harp; and Patty Gonsky, cello. A reception, dinner and dance was held at the Madison Hotel following the ceremony.
The bride is employed by AVMED Health Plan in Miami. The groom is employed by Neighborhood Health also in Miami.
The couple honeymooned in Canada and Boston, Mass.
They will reside in South Miami, Fla.
